Recap

The first postponed game for 2020 caused chaos throughout The Rani, resulting in frantic calculations and uncertainty as the final game on Sunday came to a close.

The 2-0 Gawn but not Forgotten went head to head with the 2-0 Mitch's Masterclass, with Manthorpe's squad convincingly coming out on top and becoming the first side to reach three wins, but not the only side to remain undefeated.

A draw between the Carruthers brothers meant Two in the Lipinski remained unbeaten, with the pending scores from the postponed Essendon-Melbourne clash leaving both sides on edge until Monday evening as they waited for their final result.

However, no match was more on edge than that of Gabe's Team and Kidney Sloanes, with Gabe's Team requiring an estimated 102 to tie from Sam Powell-Pepper and Michael Walters in the final match of the round.

Unfortunately for Gabe's Team, they combined for 101.

Sico Mode claimed their first win of 2020 with a thumping win over the struggling Vince U Been Gawn, leaving the Fienemann brothers as the only two sides without a win this season.

Top Score: Lachie Neale, 126 (4/12 teams)

So far in 2020 only one player has reached 100 points throughout the first three rounds, Lions' midfielder Lachie Neale.

Four sides in The Rani welcomed Neale's 126 into their midfield scores, with Tex on the Wing and Sico Mode also captaining the Lions' midfielder and cruising to some big wins.

Flop Score: Lachie Whitfield, 10 (9/12 teams)

While there was a noticeable gap between teams who had Lachie Neale and teams who didn't, there was an even bigger gap between those with and without Lachie Whitfield, let alone the three sides who captained him.

Whitfield has been a trade-out option since footy restarted and now, after a concussion on Friday night ended his game on 10 points, there's no question as to who nine of the twelve Rani sides will be trading out this week.

Lachie Whitfield was concussed in the first quarter on Friday night

Breakout Star: Conor McKenna, N/A (0/12 teams)

He didn't play in Round 3, but Conor McKenna earns breakout star status in the Rani Recap due to his positive COVID-19 test and pending community transmission cases.

McKenna broke strict lockdown protocols by attending an open home inspection during the week and returned a positive test for coronavirus on Saturday.

A day earlier, he returned a low-grade irregularity test and proceeded to train with a group of his teammates, meaning a breakout at Windy Hill is a large possibility.

Conor McKenna became the first AFL player to test positive for COVID-19
