Max's Team and The Catholic Church reached an agreement on Monday that sees three players change clubs midway through the round.
MT Receives: Xavier Duursma, James Rowbottom, Rd 3 2021 Selection (BOO), Rd 8 2021 Selection (TCC)
TCC Receives: Tom Stewart, Rd 6 2022 Selection (MT)
The Catholic Church, who are known for a heavy youth focus, bid farewell to 20-year-old Xavier Duursma and 19-year-old James Rowbottom, while taking in the 27-year-old Tom Stewart.
Rowbottom began 2020 with plenty of eyes on him after Christopher Hedges selected the young gun with Pick 16.
However, through seven games this season Rowbottom has failed to maintain people's attention, but there was still enough there for Max's Team to pounce.
While one of these sides has an excess of youth, the other in Max's Team does not, with Max Read hoping both Rowbottom and Duursma can be strong foundations for the club's inevitable rebuild.
Tom Stewart will play his first game back since suffering a shoulder injury in Round 4, but before then the defender put together strong totals of 63, 80 and 88.
Although, a cheeky little clause in the trade means that if Stewart re-injures himself tonight, the trade is cancelled.
